Planned Parenthood is ending the provision of abortions at ten of its clinics in three Arizona cities (Prescott Valley, Flagstaff, and Yuma) due to their inability to comply with a 2009 state law that restricts abortions.

The law, recently upheld by an Arizona appeals court, includes the requirement that only physicians be allowed to perform abortions. Planned Parenthood said that it does not have enough medical doctors to provide surgical abortions at all those clinics.

Clinics such as the one in Flagstaff, Arizona currently have only a nurse practitioner who performs abortions.
